It is really important to display students' achievements to enhance the feeling of success in your classroom. During the first few lessons of any unit, I try and collate student work and structure a classroom environment where students are surrounded by what they are currently learning.
Another example of promoting student success is our poetry anthologies from Term 3 this year. Instead of countless notebook pages, we decided to bind and cover our books to individualise our anthologies. Don't they look great?
These books were then placed in the school library for our Primary Years to borrow out. Our MY students loved the display of their work and our PY students were astounded by the work of their older peers.
