Engaging in professional discussions is an imperative way to develop and learn as an educator. Working with John Fleming has certainly made me evaluate and improve my professional knowledge and practice, and the educational outcomes of students.

Today was a huge day for my students and for me personally as John Fleming modelled a daily writing warm up with my students.

After practising with writing warm ups for a Semester now, my students had a good understanding of complex sentence development, and using visual prompts to kickstart their creative flair.

Using this terrific experience, I can help develop other writing warm ups for Middle Years staff and work on the implementation of this throughout the curriculum.

I will keep posted on the development of these warm ups.
